The HDPP originally established in the year 1969 as
“Hindu Dharma Pratisthanam” with an objective to propagate and promote Hindu
Dharma all over the country. It is renamed as “Hindu Dharma Prachara
Parishad”(HDPP) in the year 2007 and became one of the most important wings of
TTD.
Objectives:
- To promote, propagate and preserve Hindu Sanatana Dharma by the way of conductive religious activities in a wide manner
- Preparation, publication and dissemination of information or literature relating to Sanatana Dharma
- Setting up Dharma Prachara Mandalis in districts
- Extending financial aid to certain organizations which are advocating for cause of preservation of Hindu Sanatana Dharma
Dharmic Programmes:
SRI SRINIVASA KALYANAM
With an aim to bring lord closer to His devotees,
TTD started this unique programme of celestial wedding of the replica of
processional deities in all the rural and urban areas not only in the state but
also across the country. This programme has become a huge hit within short
period of time as the devotees had the opportunity to witness the grand wedding
of Lord sitting right at their home places. Now TTD has set up an exclusive
Kalyanotsavam Project to perform these celestial weddings across the country as
well abroad with certain specific guide lines.
MANAGUDI
To enlighten the masses especially the youth of the
state about our ancient traditions and values enshrined in the temples which
are the epicenters of our rich heritage and culture, TTD has designed a unique
programme-Managudi which is observed twice in a year in the auspicious months
of “Shravana” and “Kartheeka” as they are considered to be very auspicious for
worshipping the deities. A mass temple festival is conducted with public
participation across thousands of temples in the State.
SUBHAPRADAM
With an aim to impart knowledge to the youth on
human values, TTD designed this unique programme where in the students of Class
X, Inter I and II years will be give training on various moral subjects for a
week during the summer vacation.
